Ronald (Butch) Phillip Kenney died Friday, January 19, 2018, in Port Angeles at Olympic Memorial Hospital. Son of Helen Butler Harnack and Kenneth Kenney, spent most of his childhood in Port Townsend residing with his Aunt Jenny Cary.
In his youth, he was a star football player along with his brother Joseph Kenney Sr. They were always together and enjoyed competing against each other.
He was in the Air Force and also received a degree in Marine Mechanics while he was residing in Seattle.
He moved back to Neah Bay several years ago and resided most of the time with his brother, Kimm. He was a live wire and made everyone smile.
Butch is survived by his daughters, Teresa Kenney of Renton, Collette Adams of Kent, Shawn Kenney of Marysville, and Denice Kenney of Port Richey, Florida. Also surviving is sister Vickie J. Burley and brother-in-law Mike Burley, brother Kimm C. Brown and sister-in-law Amy Brown of Neah Bay, granddaughters Hope Adams of Kent, and Brianna Kenney, of Port Richey, Florida, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helene V. Butler Harnack, father Kenneth Kenney, son, Ronald Kenney Jr., and brothers Joseph Kenney Sr., Sterling Ray Brown and Donald Wayne Kenney.
Services: Viewing on Friday, January 26, 2018, from 8 a.m. to noon at Harper Ridgeview Funeral Chapel located at 105 W. Fourth St., Port Angeles, WA. Graveside Service at 2 p.m. with Rev. Richard Butler officiating at the Neah Bay Cemetery.
