Douglas Randolph LiljegreenAugust 11, 1951 ~ May 6, 2017 (age 65)
Douglas Liljegreen, born to Leroy and Miriam on August 11, 1951, lost his battle to kidney failure on May 6, 2017, after living and being treated at the exceptional Veterans Affairs hospital in Seattle, Washington, for several years.
Doug was a kindhearted and caring man, supported by his strong devotion to the Catholic church. Even though he was stern and large, he had a great disposition with an even greater sense of humor.
After returning home from Vietnam, where he honorably served his country from 1972 to 1976, he settled back home in the Olympic Peninsula, where he was a loving father to his four children.
He is survived by his daughters, Crystal Liljegreen and April Reynolds; and sons Travis Eaklor and David Liljegreen. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren, Breanna, Dillon, Kaya, Connor, Carly, Makayla, Olivia and Austin.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 25, at Harper-Ridgeview Funeral Chapel, 105 West 4th Street, Port Angeles, at 1 p.m., followed by entombment at Mount Angeles Memorial Park, 45 South Monroe Road in Port Angeles, at 2 p.m.
